lol I have to agree with you 100%. It usually happens to me when someone chooses Voldo, they start whacking the buttons and hes dodging left, right, up and down and doing what ever you dont want him to do :/ Although when that happens i tend to use knighmare, once that swords in motion theres little to stop it unless they somehow discover parry and counter, and if they get to close you jus punch em with that big glove and it floors them . My fav characters are Cassandra, Taki and knighmare. I pretty much mastered Taki and the only two characters that had a chance of beating me were Talim or Mitsurugui.

Anyway back on topic, for the old skool space sims id have to say Fronteir Elite2. That game was massive, i dont think i ever made it to the outer stars, id end up in a massive star system chasing a planet around the sun only to run out of fuel :/

-Story
Legend of Dragoon (Playstation) - I liked it alot, goes into my favorites list.
Guild Wars (PC) - Because it has to go into all of the categories. :P
Final Fantasy games (All of 'em) - Always been a fan of these games.

-Graphics
Half-Life 2 - I was expecting it, but it still wow'd me.
Soul Calibur 2 - I love this game, and it's purty too.
Guild Wars -!!!111!!!11!11!

-Fun Factor
Goldeneye 007 (N64) - Woo, my friends and I used to play this for hours on end, and I still try to get together with them for some good old Bond-o.
Starcraft/Brood War (PC) - Another game that I played for countless hours, will always have a place in my heart.
Guild Wars - !!111!!1!11! I think I've played this game the most in such a short time span.

There are PLENTY more than that, I just didn't feel like making a huge list. Who doesn't still enjoy playing Scorched Earth? (If you don't, then what is wrong with you!?) :P

Just walked around a few shops and I want to add this to the Graphics list: Sudeki.

Although there are a couple of bugs in the cutscenes, most of the times the graphics are pushed so high, you'll wonder why no one's played it. Good gameplay and fair Lifespan too

by the way, the heck is Scorched Earth?

Haha, it happens to me in Tekken. A friend of mine that dont play it never managed to do the "chickens", that is the counter-counter. You have to do it SO FAST I never get to do this.

Fun points:
1. Tekken (2, 3 and maybe 5) (played easily 10k battles, 1.5k hours)
2. Quake 2 and 3 (played easiy 2k hours, still play, vs. bot since sadly all servers are down/empty)
3. Final Fantasy Tactics PSX and Tactics Advance GBA (2 savegames each, lvl 99 all chars with all wep/armor/spell/etc)

Graphics:
1. Half-Life 2
2. Guild Wars
3. Doom 3
4. Gran Turismo series (each one in its timespace of course, those replays in GT1 made me )

Storyline
1. Final Fantasy Tactics (those family affairs and the final touch!; also VII, but far far away)
2. Dracula X PSX
3. Guild Wars

Have you tried Galactic Civilizations? maybe not as good as MOII but undoubtely much better than MOIII

Hmmm.

Dunno how my favorites factor into that list, but here goes:

Dark Sun: Wake of the Ravager
The dark sun series was quite possibly one of the greatest RPG sets of its time. I spent weeks playing this game, only to get halfway through and hit a bug that kept me from ever getting any farther (anyone remember the area inside the mirrors? Disapeared and couldnt move, arrrrrrrg!). So what do I do? Restart. And restart. And restart again. I must have played it up to that point 4 different times at least...

Diablo
You just cant beat Blizz's first real RPG. Spent the better part of a year perfecting a PvP Rogue with one of those super-rare bows of swiftness. It was that damn loot system that was so addicting IMO. You could always go and find something bigger and better if you just hunted long enough. Stun-locking PK's with my rogue was pretty fun too... they always had to alt-f4

Mechwarrior 2: 31st Century Combat
Best mech game ever IMO. Spent tons of time playing this game over and over and over. Graphics were great for its time, story was pretty compelling for a simulator type game, and the combat/modification aspect that allowed you to gear a mech perfectly to your play style was awesome.

Star Craft
For its time the graphics were friggen amazing, and the game play was addictive and fun as hell. BGH sucks btw

Final Fantasy
All of em. Even the hated #8. All fun and addictive, greatest set of RPGs EVER. I dunno how many hours I spent on those games, and I still play tactics.

Dark Age of Camelot
For all its short-comings, and all the hate i've spewed over Mythic's treatment of rangers for their 2 months of uberness at the beginning, this game still changed the face of MMO's when it came out. The PvP, though fast-paced and often unbalanced, was mysteriously addictive and often got my heart pounding. I can still prefectly remember a fight my guild had that lasted a good 15 minutes with some middies in odins gate. Hell, I still remember the first ever Relic raid on the server and the crash having a few hundred people in 1 small area caused.

WoW
Still playing it, game looks amazing despite the cartoony feel, the combat plays amazing, this is the first MMO with not only mass appeal, but incredible playability to back it up. The one thing that annoys me is the quest system promotes soloing way too much.

Come'on! It's not THAT old. :P That little graphic that Dreamsmith posted pretty much illustrates what it looks like. It's similar to say.. Worms, or Gunbound.
